PUB customers in Rudge have helped raise nearly £4,000 for the breast cancer unit at the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
Vanessa Kyte, from Frome, encouraged friends Pat and Christine Gifford, landlords of The Full Moon pub, to get the guests at their 20th wedding anniversary to make a donation to the Forever Friends Appeal that raises funds for new equipment at the hospital.
Mrs Kyte, who is in her 30s, received treatment at the RUH for breast cancer, and celebrated the end of her chemotherapy by doing a wingwalk to raise money for the appeal.
Mrs Kyte said: "Doing this kind of fundraising gives me something else to focus on apart from the fact that it is not a nice thing to go through.
Thanks to the wing walk and her friends at The Full Moon, Mrs Kyte raised £2,155. An extra £1,800 was raised at a dinner held by the Frome and Bradford on Avon Rotary Club.
