A MIX-UP has led to a Bradford on Avon woman being tipped to get the Christmas number one in the charts.
Jenny Batt's photo from her wedding day last month was included last week in The Sun newspaper line-up of singers tipped to get to number one on December 25.
The mix-up came after Wombles theme tune composer Mike Batt made a surprise appearance at Jenny's wedding, with singer Katie Melua, who sang Mr Batt's latest song, The Closest Thing to Crazy.
Jenny Batt had heard the song on the radio before her big day, and fallen in love with it.
Since she was due to marry another Mike Batt, her brother contacted BBC Radio 2 to get a copy of the single to play during the wedding ceremony.
Radio 2 presenter Terry Wogan and his team went one step further and sent the composer to the wedding instead.
Jenny and Mike returned to Bradford after their honeymoon hoping the dust had settled on their moment of fame, and that things would get back to normal until they realised The Sun had printed a picture of Jenny instead of Katie Melua.
Mrs Batt said: "Because Katie is not that well known I do not suppose that many people will have noticed it was me in the photo in The Sun and not her.
"Being tipped for a Christmas number one is a bit strange, especially when I am not even a singer."
