A BUSY through road in Trowbridge was closed for more than an hour on Saturday night while police dealt with the aftermath of a two-car smash.
The crash at 6.45pm meant Marsh Road was blocked between the King's Arms pub and the junction with Horse Road. Drivers heading for Staverton and Hilperton were forced to take local diversions until the road was re-opened at around 8pm.
The collision saw a grey Volkswagen Golf hit a red Toyota sports car parked in the road. Police and ambu-lance services were quickly on the scene and the Golf driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The road was closed while police accident investi-gators studied the scene of the crash and was only opened after both vehicles were removed.
