SATURDAY shoppers in Warminster could hold the key to identifying the man who indecently assaulted a girl.
The girl, 13, was attacked in the Three Horseshoes Mall at 5.20pm on November 8 after she and a friend were approached by a man who claimed he was a soldier. The man chatted with the pair before assaulting the girl.
After the incident both girls ran to contact their parents who were shopping elsewhere in the town.
The man is described as white, 5ft 8in, of medium build, around 25, with short fair hair and stubble. He wore a white t-shirt with a sports motif and beige trousers and had been drinking.
Police say he had a Geordie accent and had chest hair sticking out from the top of his t-shirt.
PC Jo Wyer, of Warminster police, said: "He called himself Andy and said he was a soldier based in Germany. We have CCTV footage of this man in the town so we can put him in that location at the right time."
PC Wyer is appealing for any information on this man and can be contacted at Warminster police on (01985) 847000.
