BATH youngsters Olly Barkley and Steve Borthwick received glowing praise from their club coach after being named joint winners of the Zurich Premiership Player of the Month award.
In an unprecedented move, stand-in vice-captain Borthwick and fly-half Barkley were named jointly for their contributions to Bath's continued outstanding start to the season.
Head coach John Connolly said: ''They are two young men, totally committed to the team and two players with great international futures.
''Their contribution, along with a number of other players, has been very good and it's the end result of a lot of people working very hard for them to get it.
''They have been central to our performances. I'm sure they have accepted these awards on behalf of the team but in saying that, they have both been fantastic.''
