Residents in the Upper Stratton area are being asked to look out for Popeye, a black and white cat, who went missing more than a week ago.
Popeye, a 14-year-old female, was last seen on November 13 and her owners fear she may have wondered off after being scared by fireworks.
She is mainly black, with a white neck, stomach and moustache. She is wearing a white flea collar, but has no identification.
Owner Kate Adams, 31, of Beechcroft Road, said: "This is very unlike her. I'd ask people to check in their sheds or garages in case Popeye is trapped somewhere."
If you know where Popeye is call the family on 01793 632892.
