Marlborough beat Salisbury 3rd, their toughest league opponents this season, 19-7.
After a Marlborough defensive error which left a two on one overlap, Salisbury's right wing and full back made a break down the right hand touch line, culminating in a score under the posts on 26 minutes, which was converted for a 7-0 half-time lead.
Marlborough then went on the rampage, and full back Tom Payne, who had a fantastic game in both attack and defence, scorched in down the right flank for Marlborough's first points, eight minutes into the half.
Twelve minutes later, Jonathan Crowe touched down under the posts, a try which was converted by Nick Dobson.
Finally in the 39th minute, Marlborough turned over possession and, with some sparkling handling and interplay between forwards and backs, lock Mark Adams put in a beautifully timed pass to put winger Trevor Clarkson clear for the try. Dobson again converted, leaving the final score at 19-7.
