RESIDENTS at Field View House in Chippenham are becoming increasingly concerned about groups of people using their staircase at night.
Field View House Association chairman Ken Stephens said elderly residents living in the flats were being regularly disturbed by groups of up to eight people gathering inside the building.
He said: "Sometimes they stay there all night. They move everything about and leave chewing gum all over the floor. Some of the elderly residents are fearful about going out in the dark now."
Mr Stephens said one option was to install a time lock on the front door but the housing association did not have the money to finance it.
