Athelstan Players are departing from the traditional Christmas panto for their seasonal production which starts tonight.
Toad of Toad Hall is an adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's children's classic Wind in the Willows.
The company of 17 children and 25 adults will be playing a roles which includes such famous characters as Toad, Mole, Badger and Ratty.
The choice of production has a special meaning for director and producer Christine Mace. Toad was her first part when she became involved in amateur dramatics 26 years ago.
She said: "We had a lot of fun and since then I have always wanted to produce the play again.
Performances are tonight and tomorrow night at 7.30pm with shows at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday.
Tickets, costing £4.50 or £3.50 for concessions, are available from Mrs Mace on telephone (01666) 822691.
