PUPILS from Stanton St Quintin Primary School quizzed staff at a local nursery about all things horticultural.
The youngsters visited Barbara Austin Perennials, the wholesale plant growers in West Kington.
The keen young gardeners were given a guided tour of the growing and propagating areas of the trade-only nursery and shown many of the commercial techniques, which are used to raise nearly a million plants in 800 different varieties on the site.
Tony Plowright from the nursery also showed the children how to plant their own seedlings and grow new plants from cuttings.
