FOOTBALLING twins Matty and Justin Messenger suffered injuries on the same legs, while playing for the same team on Saturday.
In the second half of Pewsey Vale's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Hook Norton 30-year-old Matty went haring after a ball when he felt a pull in his right leg.
He was substituted but minutes later his brother Justin was taken off the pitch on a stretcher with a torn right hamstring. "We don't believe that if one twin is injured the other one feels it, I think it's more of a coincidence," he said. "It's a little bizarre, but it was bound to happen one of these days with the amount of football we play."
He expects to be out of action for between four to six weeks but his brother will be available this weekend.
