A NEW waste bin has been proving a hit with dog walkers at Shearwater lake near Warminster.
The bin, which was donated to Wiltshire County Council by Frome Dog Training Club, has been in place since September. It is part of the club's campaign encouraging owners not to let their pets foul Wiltshire's countryside.
So far the club has had lots of positive feedback about the venture and members are now looking for other potential sites in conjunction with the county council.
Club spokesman Marissa Hobbs said: "It does seem to be quite popular and we've got our name on it which promotes our efforts.
"The idea is to promote responsible dog ownership and looking after the environment we all wish to enjoy with our dogs and for everyone else."
