HIGH achieving youngsters from Westbury were rewarded for their academic success on Monday night. Over 60 pupils from the past and present were honoured at the Matravers School Presentation Evening.
Parents, teachers and governors were treated to music from the Matravers School Orchestra and a film showing various aspects of school life.
Among the prize winners were Ian Butterworth for Academic Excellence at A Level and Charlene Whatley who received the Watkins Trophy For Overcoming Adversity.
Nigel Gilhespy, headteacher, said: "I hope through celebrating the achievements of the students we have also done something to celebrate the magnificent contribution all the teachers make to the education of students here at Matravers."
