STUDENTS living within the Melksham Without Parish Council area can benefit from cheap bus fares.
The council set up a concessionary fare scheme last year and have decided to run it again for 2003/04.
Teenagers between 16 and 19 can buy a card for £2 instead of £30 which can be used on buses around the area, including Shaw, Whitley, Bowerhill and Beanacre.
Parish council clerk Mary Jarvis said: "It is an excellent opportunity for young people to travel at a child-fare rate.
"The scheme runs until July 2004."
To obtain a card, youngsters have to fill in an application form available at schools, Melksham Tourist Information Centre and the town hall.
Completed forms have to be taken to the TIC which will issue a photocard.
