TEENAGER James Baker conjured up the right recipe for success when he entered two competitions.
James, 17, from Aldbourne, who works as a chef at the Joint Services Command and Staff College, in Shrivenham, has clinched two medals for his culinary skills.
His loin of lamb with a herb and breadcrumb crust won him a silver medal at a competition for chefs working in the Armed Services.
He followed up this success by winning gold at Craft Guild of Chefs' competition in Eastbourne.
James cooked a dish of veal with wild mushroom stuffing wrapped in pancetta.
The meal was served with baby carrots, and a mlange of vegetables.
James, who is studying for an NQV Level 2 in food preparation and cooking, said: "My goal is to get my qualifications, and in the long-term I'd like to have my own restaurant."
James' boss, Paul Stevens, added: "He is an extraordinarily talented young chef and we are delighted by his success."
