MORE than 500 young musicians will be showcasing their talents at a series of concerts in Bradford on Avon next week.
The four performances at the Wiltshire Music Centre have been organised by the county council's music service and sponsored by Monahans Chartered Accountants.
The first concert on Thursday features the West Wiltshire Young Singers, Chippenham Junior Wind Band, West Wiltshire Junior Wind Band, Great Bedwyn
String Ensemble and the Minety String Ensemble.
On December 6, West Wiltshire Junior Strings' concert will feature music
composed by Christopher Norton called Rumble in the Jungle.
The other concerts will feature a varied selection of classical and light music including themes from the films Evita and Lord of the Rings.
West Wiltshire Wind Band and West Wiltshire Concert Band will take to the stage on December 7. The final concert, featuring West Wiltshire Youth Orchestra, West Wiltshire String Ensemble, and Devizes and District String Ensemble, will be held on December 8.
Tickets for the concerts on December 4, 7 and 8 cost £4
(£2 concessions) while entry to the December 6 concert costs just £2. Tickets go on
sale on December 1 and are available from the box office on (01225) 860100.
