WILTSHIRE County Council has appointed a new deputy chief executive as part of its drive to improve services.
Janet Relfe moves to the council in March from her current job as a strategic manager with Buckinghamshire County Council.
She will lead the council's Performance and Improvement Programme, which aims to make it easier for people to contact the council by telephone, through face-to-face meetings and the Internet.
"I am delighted to have been appointed to the post of deputy chief executive," she said.
"The Performance and Improvement Programme is a very exciting project and I am greatly looking forward to starting work at Wiltshire County Council."
