FATHER Christmases and elves will be running through Swindon town centre on Sunday.
Swindon's Grand Santa Run starts at 10.30am at Regent Circus and follows a mile-long route around the town.
The children's event is 400m and starts 30 minutes earlier.
All runners have been encouraged to wear festive costume, with adults in Santa gear and children dressed as elves.
Town centre manager Bernie Maguire has urged people to come out in force to support the runners.
He is hoping to make it an annual event and is hoping to see a flood of Santas in raising money for the British Heart Foundation.
Entry fees are £12 for adults and £5 for children, and application forms are available from the tourist information office in Regent Street.
Further details are also available from the town centre management office on 01793 434053.
