Bath head coach John Connolly insisted he did not see the incident that led to Martyn Wood's sending-off for stamping at Welford Road but expressed concern at his side's recent disciplinary record.
Wood became the second Bath player red-carded in seven days following flanker Michael Lipman's dismissal against Harlequins last week.
And Connolly, whose side have now won five times away from home, said: "I didn't see it, but Martyn said (Lewis) Moody rolled and he just caught him.
"We played with 15 men for 20 minutes last week and with 15 for 25 this weekend which is a concern.
"It was not a great game both sides wanted to give it to the other team, but we will take the points.''
Connolly revealed that he had been forced to replace Mike Catt with fellow World Cup winner Mike Tindall in the first half after the outside-half picked up a hamstring injury.
"Mike was looking around the field and realised he didn't know anybody,'' added Connolly.
