More than half of the Wiltshire League programme was washed out due to overnight rain.
One of the few Premier Division games to get the go-ahead was the match between local rivals AFC Stratton and Wroughton, who took part in a cracking contest at the Crosslink Centre, the home side gaining a narrow 3-2 victory.
Stratton had the edge in the early exchanges and Rick Casey hit the Wroughton bar before Gareth Davis gave them the lead after 20 minutes.
Wroughton fought back, and James Richards equalised following some indifferent defending by the home defence.
Richards was again on the scoresheet just before the break, converting a penalty after Martin Stanley had tripped a Wroughton forward in the box. However, the sides were once again on level terms on the stroke of half-time when Mickey Solen scored with a 20-yarder.
In a lively second half there were chances at either end before Davis ran through to score the winner 10 minutes from time.
With a few minutes remaining the visitors had a strong claim for penalty turned down following a scramble in the Stratton penalty area.
Wroughton boss Chris Pethick said: "I thought we played well. The players gave 100 per cent and deserved a draw at least."
Stef Kucynski, manager of Stratton, said he was happy with the result but added: "Wroughton made it hard for us but we worked hard, and played some good football, although we tended to be a bit generous in defence at times."
Aldbourne and Purton drew 2 - 2, the visitors snatching an equaliser in the last minutes of the game.
Aldbourne took a first-half lead when Purton's Paul Gillett brought down Jimmy Wright in the box, Wright converting the resultant penalty.
Soon after the start of the second half, Dave Levitt added a second but Sam Collier pulled a goal back on the hour, and Simon Pugh saved the day with a cracking 18-yarder that flew into the net via the underside of the bar.
Corsham Town and Marlborough Town fought out an entertaining game, with the honours going to the home side 2 - 0.
After a goalless first 45 minutes, Adam Taylor gave Corsham the lead midway through the second half, Dean Fisher making sure of victory with a second soon after.
Corsham boss Tony Dryden said: "I thought we played some good football at times, and it was a good game on a tricky pitch. Marlborough never gave up and kept us on our toes. I think our midfielder Adam Taylor was the man of the match and swung the game in our favour."
Bradford Town's game against Devizes Town Reserves also got the go-ahead, and resulted in a 2-1 victory for the home side.
Bradford got off to a confident start and their top striker Tom Pang knocked in his 25th goal of the season to give his side a 20th-minute lead.
The visitors fought back to level the scores with a strike by Sean Moffatt soon after the restart, but Adam Smith netted midway through the half to give his side the points.
Malmsbury Victoria won their first game of the season in fine style with an 8-0 away win over Pewsey Vale Reserves.
David Edwards led the way with a hat-trick, followed by strikes from Ben Wright, Pete Brock, James Hatton, Lewis Slater, and Mark Lester.
Cricklade Town Reserves and AFC Stratton Reserves fought out a close battle in Junior Division One, the home side winning 3-2.
Richard Stubbs gave Cricklade an interval lead, the visitors equalising soon after the restart from Lee Rath.
Matt Charlton then regained the lead for the home side from a well -taken free kick, but back came Stratton for Steve Stewart to level the scores. Not to be denied, the home side snatched the winner in the last 10 minutes from Mark Stevens.
There was another close game at Wanborough, where the home side ran out 3-2 winners over Aldbourne Reserves thanks to a last-minute penalty from Danny Hawkins.
Earlier Carl Mulford had given the visitors an interval lead, Kevin Smith equalising early in the second half. Andy Willis added a second for Aldbourne, with Martin Grounsell levelling from the penalty spot.
Sherston beat Westside 3-1 thanks to goals from Kenny Cartiledge, Tony Vizard and Steve Wicks. Kevin Miller replied for the visitors.
QT Swindon won their first game of the season in Junior Division Two, beating Lower Stratton 3-2.
New College bounced back from last weekend's defeat with a 6-1 away win over Westside Reserves. Scott Lane (3), Darren Hay (2) and Jamie Rowe were the scorers. Craig Roberts was on target for the home side.
West Swindon were made to struggle by visitors Green Baize before running out 2-1 winners. A goal from Matt Jones and a 20-yarder from Garry Fordham put the home side two goals up. A second-half rally by Baize saw Cunningham reduce the arrears and Neal Lee shot wide from the penalty spot.
A hat-trick from Tom Kopinski and one from Anton Kopinski and Ridgewell earned Blyskawica a 5-2 win over Trax, who replied with goals from Wayne Petrie and Mark Brimson.
