Ref. 27943-03THE Great Western Community Forest project has been awarded a grant of £18,000 from the ALCOA Foundation via the Swindon based company AFL Telecommunications Europe Ltd to support environmental projects along the Hreod Burna Parkway.
The local community is being encouraged to have its say through a series of consultation evenings and to get involved with practical conservation work organised by the Great Western Community Forest team.
Great Western Community Forest representative, Heather Lilley said: "The grant is a wonderful opportunity for the start of real positive landscape change along the Hreod Burna Parkway."
While Paul Thompson of AFL Telecommunications Europe Ltd said: "This gives AFC a chance to support a worthwhile community initiative, which we hope will provide long-term improvements to the local environment."
