GREENBRIDGE and the Evening Advertiser are holding our version of the Pop Idol competition.

But instead of a recording contract and a pop career, the five Swindon finalists could win a perfect Christmas with a prize worth more than £8,500.

And it will be down to Advertiser readers to select who wins.

Greenbridge has teamed with its top-name stores to give one person the chance to win the perfect Christmas in a chance-in-a-lifetime competiton.

People were invited to write in explaining why they thought they deserve to win in no more than 25 words.

Robert Oborne, Hilda Reeder, Craig Henderson, Sylvia Jones and Anne-Marie Gibbs were plucked out from more than 600 entries

Now you have the power to decide who will be able celebrate Christmas like they have never done before.

Read more about the finalists and if their story moves you then vote for them by phoning or texting on the number shown on this page.

Our winner will receive a 30-inch LCD wide-screen TV, DVD player, and surround sound cinema system, worth more than £2,500.

He or she also gets a digital camera, a year's membership to Cannons Health Club, and a year pass to Cineworld.

As well as all these fabulous presents, Christmas day will be made all the more special as the family can be seated around a new dining table decorated with accessories, which will be provided for free.

And if that wasn't enough, our winner will also receive enough food and drink to keep them going well into the New Year.

Christmas shopping for the winner will be made easy with more than £1,000 worth of vouchers to be spent in Staples, Boots, Mothercare World, PC World, Brantano, and Rosebys.
