LIFE in the classroom has been made easier for children at Covingham Park Junior School, thanks to a £3,000 donation from Woolworths.
The money was raised through fundraising events organised by the Dorcan branch of Kids First, the charity arm of Woolworths. Staff and parents at the school also helped with fundraising.
As a result, the school has been able to buy eight interactive white boards and the 226 pupils now enjoy interactive learning.
Headteacher Colin Green said: "It means teachers can use all sorts of resources to help aid learning. The boards can show web pages, video clips, pictures and photographs and can be easily manipulated by children."
The fundraisers' group at the school organised football matches and raffles to help Woolworths raise the total.
Staff from the Woolworths distribution centre at Dorcan were all involved in fundraising events, the most energetic of which was a sponsored bike ride to Manchester.
Woolworths also gave Covingham Park Infant School 100 sets of watercolour paints.
