SUPERMARINE bowed out of the FA Trophy after an incident-packed 2-1 defeat at Maidenhead United in last night's second round replay.
Marine had to play for more than an hour with 10 men when goalkeeper Tom King was red-carded for bringing down home forward Lawrence Yaku.
But replacement keeper Ian Gill's first action was to save Steve Hale's spot-kick and then Marine amazingly took the lead when Giles Harris fired home.
Just before half-time though, Hale made amends as he scored the equaliser for the home side and Maidenhead grabbed the lead in the second period when Yaku netted midway through.
But the drama wasn't over as United keeper Nick Hart was sent off for handling the ball outside the area in injury time.
Maidenhead chose not to replace him but, with no goalkeeper, Simon Futcher's free-kick just missed the target and Marine were out.
WILTSHIRE'S interest in the FA Trophy ended as Steve White's Chippenham Town were downed by a 72nd-minute penalty in their second round replay at Basingstoke Town.
