RESIDENTS and business people in the Pewsey area are being warned to increase their vigilance in the run-up to Christmas as the criminal fraternity looks to build up some festive spending money.
Thousands of pounds worth of tools, garden equipment and bikes were stolen from garden sheds in Alton Road, Wilcot on Saturday night.
Items stolen included a Black & Decker Workmate and mountain bikes.
The previous Tuesday night, £4,000 of equipment was taken from seven vans in the Crescent and Broadfields area of Pewsey.
Police are anxious to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in either area. Call (01672) 562222.
