CALNE Mayor Tony Trotman helped to judge the children's snowman competition at the switch-on of the Christmas lights on Saturday.
Rachel Coombes, aged nine, from Lower Compton, was told that she had won first prize after the festive event.
She won a free family photographic portrait from Hallmark Photography.
The second prize, £50 worth of vouchers from Aladdins Cave, went to Richard Vasquez and the third mystery prize to Erin Weaver.
The competition was sponsored by Aladdins Cave and Hallmark photography, who donated the prizes. Children aged five to 11 years old were asked to create a snowman out of any material that was between six and 24 inches high.
Entries were handed in at Hallmark Photography last week from children across the competition age range. They were judged by the mayor, Kevin Hall of Hallmark and Paul Harris of Aladdins Cave.
"The competition is one of the many community events that we organise in the run-up to the switch on of the lights," said community development officer Mark Wilkins.
