FATHER Christmas will make an early flying visit to Malmesbury tomorrow as part of the annual festive late night shopping celebrations.
Shops in and around the High Street will open until 9pm and lay on a host of festive fun, with many serving mulled wine and mince pies.
Christmas music will be provided by the Salvation Army, with the Athelstan Players singing carols.
Santa Claus will be handing out gifts to those who have been good, in the yard behind E&S Shops.
The event is run by Malmesbury Chamber of Commerce and its chairman Alan Woodward said: "It is one of the main things the chamber does and it is getting better every year.
"There will be lots of entertainment for people to enjoy and get them in the mood for Christmas and we hope the traders can benefit, too."
The High Street will be closed to traffic during late night shopping.
A free park and ride from the Suffolk Arms car park to the town centre supplied by Andybus is a new feature, which the chamber hopes will ease congestion.
A competition will also be run to select the trader with the best-decorated window.
