Frogwell School's Christmas Fair was a family affair with parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles all joining their children at the event.
Organised by the Friends of Frogwell School, the event attracted crowds of people keen to play games and browse on the stalls.
Father Christmas was extremely busy all afternoon with a constant stream of young visitors to welcome.
He saw 76 children between 2pm and 3.50pm, in his grotto in the school dining hall.
Other attractions included busy toy and book stalls, a tombola and raffle.
Parents were also keen to buy gifts and decorations made by their children and offered for sale at the fair.
Various craft stalls were set up in the school hall and cakes were a hot favourite when the shopping had worked up an appetite.
Spider, insect and snake enthusiasts also had a treat in store as one classroom was set aside for a display.
Headteacher Avis Ball said she very much enjoyed the day.
"I always do," she said. "People were bringing along their families not just mum or dad, but grandparents, aunts and uncles and big sisters and brothers too."
The Friends are still counting the proceeds of the event.
Recent purchases by the fund-raising group include staging for school productions, such as the forthcoming Christmas show by Key Stage 1.
The Friends have also bought a new DVD player to be used in the school.
