Artist Christy Wyper is displaying her work in Calne library in the run- up to Christmas. Mrs Wyper, 33, from Lower Compton, moved to the area from Scotland a year ago with her husband James, who is in the Navy, and six-year-old son Sam.
As an amateur artist she works on her pieces nine months of the year before trying to find exhibition space. She has been selling her work for three years.
It is the first time her work has been displayed in the library. Mrs Wyper makes decorative pieces with watercolours, dyes, inks and pens.
"I like stuff that is pleasing to the eye and decorative, rather than having a deep and meaningful message," she said.
Her work is on display until Saturday morning.
