PUPILS at Oliver Tomkins CE Junior School are waiting to see if they have sung themselves into the record books.
All 212 pupils of the Toothill school took part in the world record attempt for a mass sing along, collecting more than £30 for the charity Sargent Cancer Care for Children in the process.
They joined scores of other children up and down the country to belt out the five-minute song For a Better Tomorrow.
Last year 83,637 pupils entered the event smashing the previous record and raising £42,000 for the charity.
Linda Newman, who helped synchronise the event at the school, said: "All the children loved it and were really excited by it.
"They had been practising it for a couple of weeks now.
"The school is extremely committed to charity work and we give generously to a number of charities including Christian Aid, Children in Need and the Church of England Children's Society."
