THE future of late night drinking in Westbury will be decided in the courtroom. The Ludlow Arms is appealing against district councillors' decision to reject a renewal of a public entertainment licence amid public opposition.
But landlord Paul Morris is hoping for success in Chippenham Magistrates' Court on January 12.
He said: "We will be providing evidence in court and hoping the judges will be able to take an impartial decision.
"The people opposed to our licence have done a good job getting their point across but we believe we have a good case in the eyes of the law.
"The district council meeting was hijacked by a loud minority which cannot happen in court."
Last year the Ludlow Arms successfully overturned a similar refusal of an application for a late night licence in the magistrates' court.
