BRADFORD on Avon group BlackBud have reached the semi-finals of the Battle of the Bands at Moles Club, Bath.
The teenage trio join six other bands on Monday to vie for the final on December 15.
Band members Adam Newton, 17, and 18-year-olds Sam Nadel and Joe Taylor won a Battle of the Bands contest at the Merlin Theatre, Frome, this summer and have a guaranteed slot at next year's Glastonbury Festival as part of the prize.
The band will spend the winter writing material after a summer of gigging in west Wiltshire.
Manager Grant Newton said: "The band will be concentrating on writing over the next few months but there will still be a few gigs.
"At heart BlackBud are a live act and we only know if a song works if we gig it a few times."
The band has just released an album Mostly Live.
It features seven songs and a video taken from a TV documentary being made about the band.
An independent cameraman has been following them over the past year and there are plans to air the documentary on Channel 4 next year.
