Ref. 28079-5It's sometimes said that a family who plays together stays together.
But in the case of the Storey women from Moredon, it's a case of playing, staying and working together.
They've turned their jobs at the Roughmoor Village Co-op store into a real family affair.
Mum Annastasia Storey and her four daughters Kelly, 21, Natalie, 20, Lisa, 18, and Nichola, 16 all work at the recently re-opened shop in West Swindon.
Annastasia, 42, has been manager at the store which was Alldays until last week for six years.
In that time she has managed to recruit all her immediate family. Together they make up a third of the staff there.
"I suppose it is quite unusual," said Annastasia.
"It just sort of happened this way, it wasn't a conscious move."
Assistant manager Natalie has worked her way up from sales assistant and now works alongside her mum.
"Regular shoppers do notice a family resemblance between my mum and I and ask if we're related," said Natalie.
"It's quite rare for all five of us to be in the shop at the same time though, because my mum and I are full-time but my sisters are only part-time."
The remaining sisters work at the shop in the evenings and pursue other careers during the day.
Kelly has worked at the store for four years and is a nursery nurse.
Lisa has been stacking shelves and working the check-out for two years and is also studying health and beauty at Swindon College.
Nichola, who started at the shop in April, is training to be a child carer.
All five women live in Bourne Road, Moredon, along with Kelly's daughter, one-year-old Chelsea.
"We work well together," said Natalie. "If we have arguments at home, the next day at work we just get on and forget about things. We're quite professional.
"We know each other well enough now, having lived and worked together for so long.
"It can get quite hectic with us all in the same house. We socialise together as well, so we're a pretty close family."
Adrian Barradell, a spokes-man for the Co-op group, said: "This situation is unique. There isn't a store in the Swindon area like it that we know of. It's a nice set-up for us and for them."
The store was formerly an Alldays shop but was refurbished in November and re-opened as a Co-op last week.
Annastasia said: "We've been very busy lately.
"Our family is very pleased to be part of the Co-op family."
