Two MEN are to face trial by jury after denying a charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Colin Cooke and Gavin Bates, both 31, pleaded not guilty to the offence, which relates to an incident at a pub in Trowbridge.
A third man, Dean Light, 27, pleaded guilty to the charge when all three appeared in the dock together at Swindon crown court. He had earlier admitted witness intimidation.
All three are said to have assaulted Dean Peverly at the Kings Arms pub in Castle Street on April 4 this year.
Bates, of Roundstone Street, Trowbridge, was released on conditional bail and Cooke, of High Street, Semington, and Light, of Hawcroft, Holt, Melksham, were remanded in custody.
The case against Bates and Cooke was adjourned to a trial date to be fixed and Light's case was put off until after a trial.
