YOUTH FOOTBALL: Warminster Highbury entertained Bradford on Avon in wet and windy conditions but Highbury got off to a good start with a goal in the first minute from Jamie Herbert.
Both teams tried to play constructive football, despite the heavy surface, but it was Highbury who scored again, this time through Sam McEntee.
Although out-gunned, Bradford worked hard and were rewarded with a goal late in the first half.
Minutes later Highbury replied through top scorer Alli Rose and the teams turned round at half time with Highbury leading 3-1.
The second half saw Highbury dominate again but Bradford put up stubborn resistance despite playing into a strong wind.
Eventually, Highbury's pressure told with McEntee adding two more goals to complete his hat-trick for a 5-1 win.
Bradford had their moments but Highbury's defence coped well, with Thomas Dolby having a good game on the right and Joe Dufosee adapting well to the role of sweeper.
Trowbridge Town Youth went 1-0 down midway through the first half away to Calne. They kept pressing but an equaliser would not come, and Calne ended 2-0 winners.
Westbury Youth won 3-0 at Pewsey Vale, with all goals scored in the first half. DJ Wheeler, Danny Tugwell and Sam Newton scored for Westbury, who move up to second.
Melksham Park strengthened their second place with an 11-0 win against FC Chippenham.
Melksham saw goals from Sam Forrester (2), Jack Mumford (3), Ross Jones (4), Nathan Thompson and Aaron Chalice.
Shaw & Whitley remain unbeaten at the top following their 9-2 home win against Devizes Town Youth.
Jordan Kirk (3) Alex Raeburn, George Harding, Damian Hansford, Declan Hillier, Jack Kelly and Lewis Heathcote scored for Shaw.
Trowbridge Wanderers played some excellent passing football and deserved a 7-1 victory over Cricklade which puts them top.
Goals from Peter Andrews (2), Adam Shackle, Ashley Benison, Nick Ridout and two from sub Charlie Holton helped to maintain Wanderers' 100 per cent home record.
AFC Corsham earned their second win of the season against Trowbridge Town Youth. A goal in each half for Matty Ralph and Lee Fernandez gave them victory.
FC Chippenham ended their home game against Warminster Highbury at 3-3, despite falling behind 3-1.
Chippenham saw goals from Mark Nolan, then one each from substitutes Dean Clarkson and Chris Smith.
Trowbridge Town Youth started their game slowly and soon found themselves 1-0 down with a goal from Danny King for Shaw & Whitley.
Trowbridge brought the game level through Liam Milburn and then took the lead through Scott Cunningham.
Shaw increased the pressure and King equalised before Ross Crighton gave them the lead again.

Liam Milburn beat three defenders before putting in a fine cross for Liam Richards to score the winner at 4-2 to Trowbridge.
Calne Town Youth dominated the first half of their game at Shaw & Whitley, taking a 4-0 lead.
Shaw were more impressive in the second half leaving the final score at 5-2 to Calne. Sean Benison and Ross Menghini scored for Shaw.
Amesbury Juniors move up into third place following their 6-1 home win against Melksham Park 2nds.
Chris Street (3), Lee Cole, Ian Cockside and Luke Midwinter scored for Amesbury with Chris McLaughlin replying for Melksham.
Melksham Park 2nds looked to be heading for their first victory of the season in their home game against Worton & Cheverell.
Melksham were leading 5-4 when deep into injury time Worton equalised at 5-5. Matt Crossley (4) and Josh Owen scored for Melksham.
Trowbridge Wanderers were 13-1 winners at Melksham Park. Jordan Lucas scored for Melksham.
Warminster United Youth held off leaders Calne Town Youth to the last five minutes of the first half when Mike Coulson gave the visitors the lead.
Despite some great defending from Warminster, Calne breached their defences twice more to finish 3-0 winners. Calne also saw goals from Sam Paget and a second for Coulson.
Westbury Youth earned their second win of the season with a 2-1 victory at home to Bradford on Avon.
Westbury found themselves 2-0 up at the break thanks to a double strike from midfielder Daniel Kibblewhite.
Ben Roberts set up the first and Luke Mitten the second. Bradford came back hard in the second half but were met by a strong Westbury defence and the in-form keeper Robert Veitch.
Bradford finally got one back in the last minute to leave the final score at 2-1 to the home side.
ELLIOT Drew scored the only goal of the game as Chippenham Town Youth played host to Trowbridge Wanderers.
Trowbridge Town Youth surpassed themselves with their best performance ever at Bradford.
Bradford played a positive game and were on top from the start.
An early substitution from Trowbridge saw Liam Hammond move into the middle of a three-man defence along with Shane Windsor and Luke Saunderson, and they remained unbeaten throughout the match.
Bradford looked dangerous with each of their 10 corners but the Trowbridge goal was only challenged twice with keeper Jack Lambert responding brilliantly.
Passing from the defence was also superb with Thomas Southern and Sebi Ritchie both having their best games for the visitors.
Trowbridge successfully froze out Bradford but their emphasis on defence left them weak up front which led to a 0-0 final score.
Bemerton Heath Harlequins took a 4-1 lead at half time against Warminster Highbury before going on to finish 6-1 victors.
Steve Deer (2), Matt Cox (2), Marvin Brown and Jack Slade scored for Bemerton with Joe Nolan replying.
The game between home side FC Chippenham and Westbury Youth was even throughout. Lee Blackmore put Chippenham ahead but Westbury replied before the break.
A late goal from Westbury put them into the quarter finals as 2-1 winners.
Warminster Highbury had a rollercoaster game at Rowde Youth.
Dan Croker scored for Highbury before Luke Sutton and Douglas Dixon put Rowde 2-1 ahead.
Nick Sleaman equalised for Highbury in normal time with Croker scoring his second and the golden goal to finish the game off.
Bradford on Avon won 4-1 at Westbury Youth. Joseph Chmiel scored for Westbury.
Castle Combe Colts beat Warminster Highbury 5-1.
John Hemmings (2), Richard Boulter, Andrew Lawton and Josh Summers scored for Castle Combe with Liam Flowers replying.
Bottom side South Newton took a deserved point from their 1-1 home draw with FC Chippenham.
Home side FC Chippenham held back Blue Division leaders Trowbridge Wanderers until just before the half-time whistle when Jake Hiscocks headed home giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.
Wanderers breached the determined Chippenham defence a further three times in the second half to finish 4-1 winners. Wanderers also saw goals from Ryan Spong, Declan Harrison and a second for Hiscocks.
Westbury Youth played host to AFC Corsham Jaguars which turned out to be a very exciting tie with the Jaguars eventually running out victors in extra time.
The boys and girls who featured in the game gave it their all despite the pouring rain and cold conditions.
Corsham took the lead midway through the first half after soaking up some Westbury pressure.
Lewis Gardiner and Bradley Lewis both went close for Westbury before William Bryant ran onto a through ball by Bradley to equalise.
Both teams looked for the winner but both defences were solid and both keepers made exceptional saves.
In extra time both teams again created chances but Corsham caught Westbury pushing up and scored a second in the first period.
