In the lead up to Christmas Trowbridge Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Wiltshire Times will be looking for the best decorated home in the town.
If you want to enter your illuminated display in the annual competition please write your name, address and telephone number on a postcard and send it to Christmas Lights competition, Wiltshire Times, 15 Duke Street, Trowbridge, BA14 8EF by Friday December 12.
Judges will be touring the town looking at the entries in the Wiltshire Times bus on Tuesday December 16.
One of the entries is almost certain to come from retired lorry driver Mike Johnson, who has been one of the driving forces behind Christmas lights in Trowbridge.
Each year, with the help of his wife Pam and daughter Claire Merritt, he decorates the outside of his home.
And this year Air Ambulance fundraising coordinator Tracey Edwards switched on the lights.
Since they started decorating their home in Avonvale Road, Mr and Mrs Johnson have won many prizes and inspired others to also brighten up the town.
Mr Johnson said: "It started about 15 years ago when the grandchildren came along and we thought why don't we decorate the house.
"It has progressed from there.
"A couple of years ago someone knocked on the door to donate some money for our efforts so we decided to give it to the Air Ambulance.
"Now it is an annual fundraiser."
Last year they donated more than £700 made up of coins left by admiring visitors during the festive period .
Mr Johnson said: "I am lucky to have a family that supports my love of decorating the house.
"Thanks must go to my daughter Claire who has taken over climbing ladders to put up the display."
