A SPECIAL memorial Christmas tree is being put up today at a Wootton Bassett funeral directors.
Maslin Funeral Service in the High Street is hoping the tree will become a place where people can remember their loved ones and donate money to local good causes.
Relatives, friends and loved ones are being invited to call at the home and leave memorial cards in memory of those who have died. They can also pledge donations, which will be split between the Prospect Hospice and Prospect McMillan Nurses.
Funeral director Owen Gibbs, said: "This is the second year we have offered a memorial tree in honour of those who have died and last year it proved a great help for friends and relatives.
"We know that Christmas in particular is a time when people look back and remember those they've lost and we hope that placing a poem, letter, prayer or just one-line sentence on our tree will benefit the families concerned."
Maslin's is open from 9am to 5pm and people will be able to leave memorial cards on the tree up until Christmas Eve.
