Chippenham Police gave their hopes of avoiding relegation a huge boost following a surprise win over Chippenham Sports & Social Club.
The Police picked up their first win of the campaign 2-0, Gordon Hardie and Mark McIntyre scoring and keeper Martin Notman saving a Darren Whiston penalty.
Biddestone Social's 5-1 victory over The Horse & Groom saw them move three points clear of Maud Heath Sports, who suffered their second loss on the trot with a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Trowbridge Harriers.
Matt Pratley hit four of Biddestone's five with Paul Poiner grabbing the other as Paul Bendell replied.
Alistair Stokes bagged both goals for Trowbridge Harriers as Maud Heath's challenge faltered.
The George Lacock hit Atworth United for six, with all their goals coming in a 15-minute period late in the second half .
Atworth led 2-0 thanks to a double strike from Stuart Holland.
A Gary Smith own-goal set The George on their way to recovery and Tim Culling's deflected shot, plus Richard Nash, Lee Carpenter, Culling again and Dan Smith completed a 6-3 win, Wayne Heath scored the other for Atworth.
Wingfield defeated West End Wanderers 4-2, Neil Wilcox (2), Guy Rowley and Lee Frisby scoring with Tony Kelly and Dave Jenkins responding.
Colerne's poor first-half display against Semington Rovers cost them as strikes from James Eatough and Dan Phillips completed a 2-1 Rovers win, Jason Knight's first for his club pulling one back.

North Bradley slipped off the top spot after their first defeat of the season at Sutton Benger, who they had hammered 13-2 in the reverse fixture.
Benger triumphed 1-0 with Nick Slade scoring the first-half winner.
Corsham Centre regained pole position after a 5-0 win over Southwick Sports, making it nine wins on the bounce.
Craig Gingell (2), Scott Lye, Simon Grey and Jack Nicholas netted.
North Star A remain unbeaten after their 6-1 victory over Blue Circle Saints, Garrick Hopkins netting the consolation as Tommy Ludford, Stuart Riley, Simon Gardiner and a hat-trick from Dale Smith kept the Calne-based team on course.
Christian Malford's 4-2 win over Biddestone Arms moved them fifth.
Malford hit back twice to claim their win after Lee Scutter and Dean Fry had given Arms the advantage.
Scott Evans (2, one penalty), Chris Pitman, Ian Ramsey bagged Malford's other goals.
Steeple Ashton and Somerford FC were involved in a nine-goal thriller which was won by Ashton 5-4.
Steve Coveney, a Darren Clarke own-goal, Lee Hayward (2) and Nathan Holloway won the game for Ashton, despite goals from Gavin Klukowski (2) Richard Chandler and Steve Gore replying.
DIVISION THREE
Four Seasons extended their unbeaten sequence to 11 games with a 5-2 win at home to Corsham Park Rangers.
Marcus Young (2), Jason Cole, Adam Smith and Ryan Nicholls' goals for the Seasons sandwiched strike a from Gordon Willshire and Pete Saint-Ruth for Rangers.
Hare & Hounds rested a number of players against Cooper Avon as they prepared for this Sunday's Knockout Cup clash with holders All Cannings and won 3-1 as Cooper Avon's Andy Roberts crashed home a 30-yard free-kick, but Niall McLean's hat-trick won it.
Old Lane United fell to their fourth defeat on the trot when they lost 2-0 at home to Pig & Whistle United, who netted through Richard Allen and Jeff Hale.
Trowbridge Town Supporters Club are in freefall having lost a fourth consecutive game.
James Harman gave them the lead against Westbury Rangers B, but Matthew Gardiner, Dave Jones and Pete Seviour completed a 3-1 Rangers' win.
DIVISION FOUR
With leaders Kings Arms (Trowbridge) inactive and second-placed FC Bradford in Wilts Cup action, both Virgin Mobile and Classic FC gained vital victories to close the gap at the top.
Virgin's 4-1 victory over Fascia Graphics saw them move level, Lee Jones (2), Simon Bolano and Chris Sharpe scoring with Jamie Farquharson replying.
Classic FC remain close, Dayle Townsend leading the scoring with three, Marcus Hussey scoring twice and Paul Hussey and Pete Brock also on target in a 7-0 win over KSM.
Pack Horse Rangers inflicted an 11th straight defeat on The Plough, Dan Jackson and Phil Clark sharing six of Rangers' eight goals while Simon Reid and Craig Dore netted the others.
Kevin Nash was the Plough's solitary scorer as they lost 8-1.
White Horse FC and Bear Casuals drew 0-0 and Richard Hayter netted Rowde's consolation as they lost 5-1 at North Star B, James Yates (3) and Ashley Lawrence (2) on target for the winners.
