MY vision for our town is a new hospital but the council says that we can't have one because of the Bath RUH deficit which is about £25m.

So why don't the people of Trowbridge raise the money through the Wiltshire Times, who could run a competition for the best idea on how to sponsor the building of our new town hospital. The winner of the competition could have a ward named after him/her.

One example is to print 10 bricks on one page of the paper, each brick would cost about a £1 each, you could buy as many bricks as you want to and then all the people that bought bricks could have their names put on a plaque placed inside of the entrance to the new hospital. I would say to the people of Trowbridge and Wiltshire, please don't let me down or your town.

Send in your ideas and bring one vision for Trowbridge into reality.

I WOULD like to respond to Cllr Payne's letter by actually repeating what he originally said: "The consultants want public art and culture. Have they been around Trowbridge at 12.30am on a Saturday."

He is now desperately trying to backtrack on his dismissal of culture in Trowbridge. If he just meant public art, why didn't he say so at the time! Perhaps his true views were revealed by that off-the-cuff comment!

Realistic, to Cllr Payne, obviously means aim low and accept anything, which also includes pushing for tin shed developments after all it is only Trowbridge, why try for anything better!

His 'note of caution' sounded rather more like a determined attempt to rubbish the Vision project.

As for council tax payers having to foot the bill yet another negative attack Glyn Bridges has already laid that scare story to rest by explaining the true picture in his letter of November 28.

Let's grasp the opportunities that the Vision offers, work with the Regional Development Agency for a better Trowbridge, and stop selling our town short!
