SHERBORNE'S ex-Harlequins ace Richard Nias did to Calne what he had done to Minety as his four-try burst clinched a 38-11 victory in Dorset & WIlts One.
The home team fiercely contested their own opening kick but knocked on and No 8 Nias picked up just inside his own half to set up the first try.
Brave efforts from young flanker Mike Robinson and Alan Wicks kept Nias quiet for long periods.
And Calne managed some periods of sustained pressure to shock the league leaders.
They picked up six points thanks to the kicking of scrum-half Andy Donegan before Sherborne stepped up a gear and won a penalty of their own, which they followed up with Nias' first try.
The second half got off to the worst possible start for Calne, as two Nias tries in the first five minutes killed off Calne's hopes.
But the home side fashioned a superb try of their own as Graham Neale beat his man to take the covering defence over him by way of consolation.
