AN INVESTIGATION has been launched into an incident in which a resident at Lease Hill Residential Home in Moredon had to be removed after he became aggressive.
Police were called to the home in Branksome Road but no further action was taken. Swindon Council is investigating the incident, which happened last month.
"We cannot say anything about the incident in question as we are currently investigating it," said council spokeswoman Sarah Deacon. "What we can say is that he was an emergency admission and he did become aggressive.
"I would like to stress that at no time were any of the residents at risk.
"He is no longer at the home and was removed immediately."
A spokeswoman for Swindon Police said: "At 1.25am on Sunday, November 16, police were called to an incident at an elderly persons home in Moredon. No further police action was necessary."
