HIGHWORTH led the way in the glut of County Youth Cup ties at the weekend.
The Cirencester & District Youth under 15 team were 4-1 winners at Wroughton.
Highworth got off to a flyer with Alex Parker netting for the visitors after only two minutes.
Jaz Singh won the ball in the centre of the field and released Ben Tollington on the left wing.
His inside pass found Parker who fired past the Wroughton keeper.
Ryan King doubled the score, diverting Lorien Bardwell's right-wing cross.
Wroughton reduced the deficit on 14 minutes but Highworth were straight back on the attack and a Stephen Ware free-kick found Lorien Bardwell who ran powerfully to the by-line. His shot glanced off the crossbar and Alex Parker made sure on the Wroughton goal-line.
Lorien Bardwell made the game safe with a goal on 70 minutes.
Alex Parker's tenacious tackling won the ball in the Wroughton half and he found Bardwell who's spectacular shot flew into the top of the goal to make it 4-1 and send Highworth into round two.
Elsewhere, Malmesbury were 3-0 winners against Shaw.
After a goalless first half Malmesbury took the lead through Dan Done after good work from James Brown.
Myles Young scrambled the ball home to make it 2-0 and Mark Lane secured the victory with a good left-foot strike.
Stratton Juniors also progressed with a 10-1 win over Amesbury.
Purton won 4-3 at Warminster Hornets and Mitel beat Gunners Boys 2-1. Croft defeated Robins 6-2
