Ref. 28102-41A BOXER, who once fought Frank Bruno and Joe Bugner, has handed over a £2,500 donation to the Prospect Hospice in Wroughton.
Eddie Neilson raised the money by organising two nights of entertainment in the town.
Earlier this year, people gathered at the Greenbridge pub for Gangster Night, which included a public appearance by former Kray Twins associate Tony Lambrianou.
More recently, Mr Neilson, 53, invited people to try their hand at boxing in a popular sports evening at the Premier Sporting Club in Stratton St Margaret.
Mr Neilson is an old friend of the hospice his firm, Blackford's Landscaping Contractors, did the landscaping in the 1990s.
He said: "It is a local charity which helps thousands of people and costs thousands of pounds a year to run."
Mr Neilson handed the money to Prospect Hospice fundraising manager Maggie Gill.
She said: "It costs more than £7,000 per day to run the hospice and donations like this mean everything to us.
"The fact that people like Eddie go out of their way to raise money is terrific.
"It means we can continue to provide the extra care that our patients, their carers and their families need."
