It was chub or bust in the Haydon Street AS Joe Medici Trophy on the River Thames at Inglesham as a hard frost toom its toll.

The winner, Bob Gould, took four smaller samples to weigh 6-6, just ahead of the two chub taken by Terry Winter with 6-4 and Mick Cottle with 3-12.

The aggregate points to date are: Roger Giles 138, John Ford 128, Ron Bizley 107 and Rudi Dietrich 105.

The Duke of Edinburgh Fishing Club (Gorse Hill) held their match at Rushy andchub paved the way to victory for Phil Tipton with a 10-4 weight.

Dale Byrne was second (8-7) and third was Phil McKay (6-10).

The Wednesday Club went to Bourton on the Water last week and it resulted in a win for Len Simpson with 46lb of carp.

The Greenhill Fishery Open was taken over by the Brown brothers, Cliff and Fred, the former winning with 17-7 of carp and tench followed by Fred with 13-14 and fishery owner Mark Wakefield with 11-12.
