ALISTAIR Carr's story is a stark reminder of the reality of homelessness. Just three years ago he was a bakery manager earning a salary of £43,000, and then, through no great fault of his own, he found himself homeless and penniless after a business disaster.
If that doesn't illustrate how homelessness can affect all walks of like, nothing does. Good luck to him as he rebuilds his life while staying at the Culvery Court hostel.
And we would all be wise to avoid prejudice when on the subject. As the stories of the people at Culvery Court show, there is a lot more to homelessness than meets the eye.
