Christmas is coming early for the residents of Barrow Green in Chippenham, when a long-awaited play area is opened on Saturday, in time for the school holidays.
Leader of North Wiltshire District Council, Coun Ruth Coleman, will be officially opening the new play area, a joint-funded project between North Wiltshire District Council, Westlea Housing Association and Knightstone Housing Association.
The play area was chosen by local children and residents, following consultation undertaken by Westlea at the end of May.
Coun Coleman will be cutting the ribbon to open the new facility at midday.
The event will have a festive theme, with balloons, sweets, mince pies and soft drinks being served.
