CHIPPENHAM Town Rangers gave leaders Trowbridge Wanderers a run for their money before going down to a 5-1 defeat in the under 16s Blue Division of the Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League.
Rangers took the lead through Darren Holcombe but Wanderers equalised before the break through Nick Ridout.
The second half was more one-sided with Wanderers controlling the play and scoring a further four goals to finish 5-1 winners.
Trowbridge Town Youth gained a 7-3 away win against Cricklade Youth. Cricklade's goals came from Dan Walker, Joey Dorey and Neil Fisher.
Under 16s Red Division
DESPITE only starting with two players in their normal positions due to availability problems, Westbury did well to keep the score level at 0-0 at half-time in their home game against AFC Corsham.
The second half though was a different story as relentless pressure on the Westbury defence took its toll, with Corsham scoring four goals without reply. Matty Ralf, Lee Fernandez (2) and Steve Birch scored for Corsham.
Pewsey Vale took the lead against FC Chippenham but the visitors were back level at the break with an equaliser from Josh David. Both sides came out looking for the winner which eventually went to Pewsey to earn their third win of the season so far with a 2-1 final score.
Warminster Highbury's home game against Marlborough Town mirrored that of Pewsey's, with a half-time score of 1-1 and a final score of 2-1 to the home side, also Highbury's third win of the season.
Under 14s Blue Division
FC CHIPPENHAM recorded their first win since September with a convincing 7-0 victory away to Westbury Youth.
Under 14s Green Division
IN a very sporting game, Devizes Blues led all the way, turning a half-time 3-0 lead into a 4-0 win at the final whistle away to Trowbridge Wanderers.
James Muir (3) and George Dyke scored the goals.
Under 13s Blue Division
SALISBURY City Juniors remain top of the table following their nail biting away win over Chippenham Town Youth.
The sides were level at 3-3 at the interval with the game going to 4-4 before Salisbury hit the all important fifth goal to take the points.
Amesbury Juniors remain just two points behind the leaders with a game in hand following their 3-1 home win against Trowbridge Wanderers. Jack Gentle (2) and Simon Coward scored for Amesbury, with Scott Atkins taking the man-of-the-match trophy.
Pewsey Vale earned their first win since early November in their away game against Castle Combe Colts. Pewsey took an early lead with Castle Combe drawing level at the break. Either side could have secured a victory as both enjoyed chances but with no reward until ten minutes from time when Pewsey hit the target to finish 2-1 winners.
Under 13s Green Division
FC CHIPPENHAM move up to fourth in the table following their decisive 9-1 home win against Bromham.
FC Chippenham's goals came from Ollie Harris (3), Luke Webb (2), Gareth Cooper (2), Patrick Lynn and an own goal.
Under 13s Red Division
WORTON and Cheverell took a 1-0 lead in the first half in their home game against Shaw and Whitley and held on until late in the game when Alex Bentham equalised.
Under 12s Blue Division
TROWBRIDGE Wanderers remain five points clear at the top of the table following their 7-0 home win against Castle Combe Colts.
Declan Harrison (4), Skip Ayoud, Jason Henley and Ryan Spong scored the goals.
Warminster Highbury move up to third after running out 5-0 winners away to Devizes Town Youth.
Chippenham Town Youth built up a 5-1 lead at the break at AFC Corsham, scoring most of their goals on the break. Corsham pulled one back in the second half before Chippenham went on to score two more to finish 7-2 winners. Elliot Corpe (5) and Luke Dibley (2) scored for Chippenham with Shannon McKenzie replying for Corsham.
Trowbridge Town Youth remain in second place following their 3-1 away win against FC Chippenham, with Aaron Tinson scoring for Chippenham.
Under 12s Red Division
FC CHIPPENHAM earned their first three points of the season with a 5-2 home win against Warminster United Youth. Chippenham's goals came from Joshua Stanley, Sam Scott, Nick Harrison (2) and Eddie Howell.
Calne Town Youth gave a commanding first half performance against visitors AFC Corsham, taking a 5-0 lead at the break. To their credit, Corsham never gave up the fight restricting the eaders to a single goal in the second half. Matthew Smart (2), Alex Lewis (2) and Mike Coulson (2) scored for Calne.
Under 11s Blue Division
IN a bottom of the table clash Bradford on Avon earned their first three points of the season with a 5-3 home win against FC Chippenham.
Matt Hayward, Jordan Pinder, Matt Meape and Tom Hyde (2) scored for Bradford.
Under 11s Green Division
LEADERS Melksham Park ran out 7-1 winners at home to Castle Combe Colts.
Third place Trowbridge Town Youth Blue ran out 4-0 winners at home to Derry Hill Boys.
Under 11s Red Division
WITH missed chances by Devizes Town Youth and rugged defending from visitors Trowbridge Wanderers the score was kept at 2-0 to Devizes at the break, with goals from George Bissett and Tayler Worthy.
The second half was more positive from Devizes and with further goals from Worthy (3), Daniel Case (3), Bissett (2) and Cory Smith they ran out 9-0 winners. Man-of-the-match for Devizes was Tayler Worthy.
Under 11s Yellow Division
SHAW and Whitley completed their fixtures for this part of the season with an emphatic 10-0 win at Chippenham Town Rangers.
The win assures them of a place in the new Blue division in the new year. Shaw's goals came from Jordan Kirk (4), Kieren Mills (2), George Harding (2) and Matthew Bird (2).
Chippenham Town Rangers also played on Saturday at home to Melksham Park, with Melksham running out 3-0 winners.
Under 10s Blue Division
AFC CORSHAM Jaguars enjoyed their first win of the season, running out 3-1 winners at home to Trowbridge Town Youth.
Under Nines Blue Division
MELKSHAM Park came close to their first win of the season at home to FC Chippenham.
Melksham denied the visitors the lead when goalkeeper Jack Liddiard, saved a shot from the penalty spot. Chippenham however did breach the home side's defence once to take the game at 1-0.
Under Nines Green Division
CALNE Town Youth had to work hard to beat home side AFC Corsham Jaguars.
A fine defensive performance from man-of-the-match Jordan O'Dwyer and three athletic saves from Toby Briggs kept the Jaguars from getting anything from the game.
Oliver Coulson scored both goals for Calne, poaching one late in the first half and the second early in the second half.
Under Nines Red Division
ON a soggy pitch Trowbridge Town Youth Panthers recorded their latest victory by running out 5-0 winners against Castle Combe Colts.
The game was fairly one sided with Thomas Woods giving the Panthers the lead after just a few minutes.
Woods, Reuben Cross, with his first two league goals, and Liam Hammond completed the scoring.
