A CALENDAR will give the elderly a new safety tip each month to help safeguard against bogus callers.
The calendar has been produced by Wiltshire Age Concern, the police, the county council, Victim Support and other groups.
It features messages of reassurance from the police with contact numbers for who to get in touch with in the event of difficulty. In all 8,000 copies have been printed.
There are pictures of police officers, the Bobby Van and a range of groups which help older people.
These pictures are matched on alternate months with scenic shots of Wiltshire and Swindon.
Elizabeth Marginson, public relations manager for Wiltshire police, said: "The issue of bogus callers preying on older and vulnerable people has been a high priority for Wiltshire Constabulary.
"We hope the calendar will provide reassurance, help, information and be a timely reminder."
