EASTVILLE Boys under 13s suffered their first league defeat in over two years at the weekend.
Highworth were the team that ended the unbeaten run with a 2-1 triumph over their title rivals at Warneford School.
Highworth had the better of the opening exchanges only to be caught on the break by Etheridge who calmly slotted home the opening goal.
But Bowden equalised direct from a corner to send the two sides in level at the break.
In the second half Highworth gradually gained control of the midfield and had a goal disallowed for offside.
A draw seemed inevitable until Tom Maynard clinched victory for the visitors with just six minutes remaining, sliding the ball under the Eastville keeper from close range.
Westlea Wanderers stay top of under 13 Division One after a 6-1 win at Old Town United.
The hosts started well but Hillis netted the first for Wanderers to change the balance of the game.
Three more followed in quick succession, with Louis Maynard hitting his first league goal for the club. English got the third and McCulloch the fourth.
Old Town's Charlie Rose got one back to make it 4-1 at half-time.
Hillis scored again after the break and McCulloch notched his second to complete the scoring.
In Division Two, Ferndale Rodbourne defeated Wroughton 5-0. Chris Avery (2), Steve Hall, Ashley Taylor and Chris Cummings did the damage.
Fairford remain in control of the title race after a 4-0 win over Wootton Bassett.
Under 14s Division
WROUGHTON upset the odds to beatWestbrook 2-1 in Division One.
The visitors were second-from-bottom at the start of play but triumphed 2-1 at the high-flying hosts.
Westbrook took the lead through Hobbs and Wroughton's Sofroniou missed a penalty before Joe Shaw netted a deserved equaliser.
With 18 minutes left Adam Burton raced clear to net the winner.
Hobbs then missed a penalty for Westbrook at the death as Wroughton claimed their second league win of the season.
Greenmeadow now top the division after a 3-2 win over Wootton Bassett.
In the Division Two Subsidiary Cup, two Ziggy Wardale goals gave Walcot Wanderers a 2-1 win at Stratton.
Liden suffered an 11-0 defeat at under 12 Division One contenders Amesbury.
Callum Coker netted a six-minute hat-trick and went on to score seven. Harvey Coker, Shaun Dixon and Sam Aldridge (2) completed the rout.
Lydiard are chasing Amesbury all the way at the top of the table after a 6-0 win over Croft.
Wroughton struck a big blow in the race for the Division Two championship, overhauling rivals Stratton Youth from top spot with a 5-1 win.
Highworth Juniors lost ground in the race for the under 11 North Division crown after suffering a 4-2 defeat to Stratton Juniors Orange.
Shaw maintained their 100 per cent record to stay ahead in the West Division, winning 5-0 at Ramsbury.
Greenmeadow closed the gap on the Central Division leaders with a 5-2 win at Blunsdon Colts.
In the under 9 North Division, Fairford won 5-1 at Coleshill. Frazer New (2), Tom Denmead (2) and Taylor Chambers scored.
