THERE will be lots of local references and innuendo in a pantomime that has been written specially for the village of Easton Royal by local resident Michael Whittaker.
There will be two performance of A Right Royal Carry On Full of Easton Promise at the Village Hall on Saturday, January 10, at 2pm and 7.30pm.
It's the first time the village has staged a pantomime, certainly within living memory, said Melanie Cooper.
It is set in the village and in the great pantomime tradition has a variety of princesses after the hand of Prince Hereabouts.
Mrs Cooper said: "The show is intended for people in the village or whose children go to school here. There is lots of local innuendo and even the village pub gets a mention."
There will be a chorus of children from the village school. The pantomime is being staged to raise funds for the restoration of the village hall. Tickets cost £3 and £1.50 for children and are available from Mrs Cooper (01672) 811045.
